Canine Awareness Day at Holy Name Hospital: 9/24 1-3PM
The New Jersey Chapter of Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) will host a CCI Awareness Day on Saturday, September 24th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Come meet puppy raisers and puppies-in-training, graduates teams, volunteers, CCI instructors and learn more about the CCI program. Find out how you can get involved with CCI as a local volunteer, puppy raiser or learn how to apply for an assistance dog. See a demonstration of how a Canine Companion can assist a child or an adult with a disability. CCI Awareness Day will be held at Holy Name Hospital in Marion Hall. Refreshments will be served. Since its founding in 1975, Canine Companions for Independence has graduated more than 2,000 assistance dog teams, making it the oldest and largest organization of its kind. 2005 marks CCI's 30th anniversary.
