Bergen Bike Tour at Darlington: 9/25, Starts at 8AM

The tenth annual Bergen Bike Tour will be held on Sunday, September 25th, 2005. The Bergen Bike Tour provides a great opportunity for individuals and families to enjoy fun and wholesome activities while supporting two outstanding local organizations: Tomorrow's Children's Fund and the Volunteer Center of Bergen County. Check-in opens a half-hour in advance for each route. Kids Ride will take place at 10:45 AM with Big Wheels and tricycle riders welcome. Barbecue, clowns, games from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

All activities take place at Darlington County Park at 600 Darlington Avenue in Mahwah. Routes of 10 (starts at 10:30 AM), 25 (9:00 AM), and 50 miles (8:00 AM) are designed to accommodate riders of every ability, from the beginner to the skilled cycling enthusiast. All routes wind through some of Bergen County's most scenic areas. All cyclists are expected to turn in $100 per individual or $200 per family to support the designated beneficiary charities: the Volunteer Center of Bergen County and the Tomorrows Children's Fund at Hackensack University Medical Center. $40 per rider. Four family members over age 8, $75; additional $15 per person for more than four family members. Children 8 and younger free.
