Holy Name Hospital 80th Anniversary Celebration: 10/2 1-5PM
In 1925, Man of War, Babe Ruth and George Gershwin were making headlines. The Port Authority had just commissioned the design of the George Washington Bridge and Holy Name Hospital opened its doors to serve the community of Teaneck. Today, with the support of the community, Holy Name provides world-class medicine to thousands of people across Bergen County. To celebrate the 80th Anniversary, Holy Name has scheduled a Celebration and Health Fair with events the entire family can enjoy.
The 80th Anniversary Celebration and Health Fair of Holy Name Hospital will take place on Sunday, October 2nd from 1:00 - 5:00 PM. The afternoon will begin with an Interfaith Prayer Service at Marian Hall followed at 2:00 PM by free health assessments and screenings including – blood pressure, blood glucose, stroke risk assessment, home safety, body fat analysis, pulmonary function and fall risk.
At 2:00 PM, Projects in Education (PIE) will highlight activities for children and families as they present their Story Theatre program. The program has been donated through All Seasons Theatre Company's "Buy a Piece of the PIE" initiative. Other activities for children include clowns, face painting, fingerprinting provided by the Teaneck Police Department, car seat safety, backpack weigh-ins and tips and snacks from Dale and Thomas Popcorn!
