BCUA Hazardous Waste Disposal Event in Paramus: 10/2 9AM-3PM
If you have any leftover items such as paints, automotive products, aerosols, pesticides, flammable materials, etc., used around your home on a regular basis, do not throw them out with the garbage or dump them down a toilet or sewer. Even seemingly innocuous items such as smoke detectors and fluorescent bulbs can harm the environment if disposed improperly.
The Bergen County Utilities Authority conducts special Hazardous Waste Disposal Days in Paramus, Mahwah and Moonachie (BCUA headquarters), where you can bring household-generated hazardous waste for safe and proper disposal. There is no charge for Bergen County residents to dispose of household hazardous waste material at these events. The next event will be held at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road in Paramus on Sunday, Sunday, October 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, rain or shine, and will be the final Household Hazardous Waste event for this year.
