Bergen County History Cafe at Campbell-Christie House: 10/9
The Bergen County Historical Society will offer a History Cafe, which will take place on Sunday, October 9th at 2:00 PM at the Campbell-Christie House, located at 1201 Main Street in River Edge. The first talk will be on "The First People of Bergen County" with Kevin Wright as Moderator. Discussion and talk in a casual format. Refreshments will be available, including coffee, tea and finger food. Donations welcome; charge for refreshments.
The Steuben House and Campbell-Christie House are State historic site owned and operated by the NJDEP. The Steuben House houses the museum collection of the Bergen County Historical Society, and is located in New Bridge Landing State Park at 1209 Main Street, River Edge. Open most weeks Wednesday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and reopening from 1:00 to 5:00 PM; and Sunday afternoons from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays; but open Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Columbus Day. Call 201-487-1739 or visit the http://www.BergenCountyHistory.org web site.
