Autumn Action Against Hunger Food Drive: 10/9 12-4PM
The 14th Annual Autumn Action Against Hunger Food Drive will take place on Sunday, October 9th from Noon to 4:00 PM. Please bring non-perishable groceries (no glass items, please) to one of the following sites in the Teaneck area, which are among the over 100 participating locations in the Bergen County area:
==> Stop & Shop of Teaneck, 665 American Legion Drive, Teaneck ==> Provident Savings Bank, 464 Cedar Lane, Teaneck ==> Pathmark of Bergenfield, 80 New Bridge Road, Bergenfield ==> ShopRite of Englewood, 40 Nathaniel Place, Englewood ==> Pathmark of North Hackensack, 450 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack ==> ShopRite of New Milford, 814 River Road, New Milford
The following items are among the most needed goods:
- Cereal - Rice - Hot chocolate - Canned Juice - Peanut Butter - Pudding - Canned vegetables - Jelly - Cooking Oil - Powdered Milk - Soup - Toilet Tissue - Evaporated Milk - Pork & Beans - Paper Towels - Canned meat - Tea - Diapers - Instant Potatoes - Coffee - Snack Foods
Action Against Hunger(tm) is a community service program sponsored by the North Jersey Media Group Foundation. The program has helped feed the hungry in northern New Jersey since 1991, when The Record launched the first food drive in response to needs identified from reports in the newspaper. Action Against Hunger is now the largest food drive in the metropolitan area, serving 65 pantries, which assist more than 40,000 clients.
