Teaneck Greenway Annual Long Walk of Hackensack River: 10/9 9AM
The Friends of the Greenway will lead the annual walk along the full length of the Hackensack River through Teaneck, led by Jordan and Kathy Wouk on Sunday, October 9th starting at 9:00 AM. There is no charge for this walk, which starts at the southern end of Terhune Park (at the Bogota border) and continues north for 3½ miles to the old swing bridge at historic New Bridge Landing (at the New Milford border). Allow three to four hours for the full trip, though you can feel free to leave at any time.
The starting point of the walk is located near the tennis courts at the south side of Terhune Park, on River Road at the foot of Hillcrest Street. The walk will end at historic New Bridge Landing, which can be reached heading north on River Road, making a left turn on Riverview Avenue (at the north end of Brett Park) and following the park on your left to Old New Bridge Road.
