Holy Name Hospital 55 Alive Driving Course: 9/28&29 10AM-3PM
Holy Name Hospital is offering an eight-hour classroom refresher course developed by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to specifically meet the needs of older drivers. The program is open to all motorists age 50 and over, whether or not they are members of AARP. The program is divided into two parts, four class hours each day, and there are no exams to take. The program will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, September 28th and 29th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Holy Name Hospital in Marian Hall. Attendance at both sessions is required. The fee is $10.00.
Taught by an AARP-trained volunteer instructor, participants sharpen their driving skill, develop strategies for adjusting to age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time, and learn about the effects of medication on driving performance. The 55 Alive / Mature Driving Education Program has been approved by the New Jersey Commission of Insurance and graduates of the 55 Program may now receive discounts on their auto insurance premium.
Registration and pre-payment are required.
