Puffin Film"MardiGras: Made inChina":9/227PM

On Thursday, September 22nd, at 7:00 PM, the Heart of Labor Film Series at the Puffin Cultural Forum presents the film "Mardi Gras: Made in China," an Official Selection at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and an Award winner at the Big Muddy Film and Hearts and Minds Film Festivals.

"Mardi Gras: Made in China" is the 2005 documentary film directed by David Redmon. The film runs 72 minutes and has not been rated by the Motion Picture Association of America. "Mardi Gras: Made in China" is a story of globalization told with humor and sadness, through an exchange between the owner of a bead factory in China, the factory workers, and New Orleans revelers who exchange these beads during Mardi Gras. Director David Redmon, a former Puffin grant recipient, will present this film and take audience questions.
