ABOUT THE TEANECK CREEK CONSERVANCY The Teaneck Creek Conservancy, Inc. -- in close partnership with Bergen County -- is dedicated to the reclamation and revitalization of the lands and waters of a 46-acre property within Overpeck County Park for public use and enjoyment as a wildlife reserve, passive park, outdoor education and research center, and cultural destination. Activities conducted by the Conservancy include the creation of a 1.5-mile trail system for limited public access and passive recreation, which is under construction and is expected to be completed this year. The interior of the Conservancy is closed to the public until construction is completed. The Conservancy has a program of special events that includes members and donors, community stewardship of natural resources -- e.g., volunteer stream clean ups -- and the creation of performative public art with artists and volunteers. The Conservancy encourages public participation in all aspects of its work.
